Mauro Uliassi

Mauro Uliassi grew up in his family's bar in Senigallia, Italy, surrounded by the aromas of home cooking and the art of hospitality. After training as an industrial technician, he enrolled in hospitality school to please his parents but discovered his passion for cooking when he fell in love with his future wife — cooking for her and her friends sparked his culinary enthusiasm. He later studied sociology at university while teaching at the same hospitality school where he trained, and eventually returned to cooking as his calling. Today he runs Ristorante Uliassi in Senigallia with his sister Catia, which earned its third Michelin star in 2025.
