Audio Toolkit for Agents
Our Take
Steve Hiehn looked at the music production world and thought: why should humans do all the audio heavy lifting? So he built an Audio Toolkit for Agents—25 audio processing tools exposed as MCP tools that let AI agents handle the messy work of music production. We're talking EQ, compression, reverb, noise reduction, all the stuff that normally takes years of training to do right. Now an AI can do it for you.
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is quickly becoming the backbone of agent-to-tool communication, and Steve basically said "cool, let's give agents ears." They can now process, clean up, and polish audio directly within workflows. It's open source, it's on GitHub, and it's exactly the kind of infrastructure work that enables the next wave of audio AI apps. The boring plumbing that makes the flashy stuff possible.
This is a Show HN project, so it's early days—no funding, no headcount, just one person with a vision and 25 tools that could save music producers hours of tedious work. But that's where the opportunity is. Someone's going to build the next big audio AI company on top of stuff like this. Steve just laid the foundation.
