Quality control for your software factory

Our Take

Chad Metcalf, Dallin Romney, Patrick Erichsen, and Sashank Pisupati looked at software development and saw a problem everyone had accepted: code quality is a guessing game. Teams write standards, then hope humans actually enforce them—which they don't, because nobody has time to catch every anti-pattern, security issue, or wheel-reinventing disaster in a PR. So they built Continue, the quality control system for your software factory.

Continue runs AI-powered checks on every pull request, automatically. But here's what makes it different from generic AI code review: you write the checks in markdown, right in your repo, and Continue runs them as native GitHub status checks with suggested fixes when code misses the mark. Standards as code, enforced by AI, decided by humans. No surprise bugs. No unsolicited opinions. Just consistency at scale, whether your factory ships once a week or fifty times a day.

Most AI dev tools are trying to write code. Continue is trying to make the code you already write actually good. That's a different market, and honestly, it's the one every engineering team needs but nobody's building. If your PR queue is a disaster, this is the fire extinguisher.
