Brian and David built Cookie Lang because they noticed every language app was basically the same thing—flashcards, drills, Duolingo birds flying into your skull. So they went the opposite direction and built uAct, a roleplay video app where you practice speaking by acting out real conversations with AI. You pick a scenario—coffee shop order, job interview, doctor's appointment—and record yourself responding. The AI then gives you feedback on pronunciation, word choice, and flow.

Here's the thing: everyone learns vocabulary in apps but nobody actually knows how to talk. Cookie Lang skips the flashcards entirely and puts you in situations where you have to speak. It's brand new, so there aren't user numbers yet, but the idea is simple—practice speaking the way you're actually going to use the language.

uAct just launched on Product Hunt and they're looking for language learners who are tired of drilling and want to actually hold a conversation.
