CryptoMate is going after LatAm's financial infrastructure and look, I'll admit there's a real problem there — cross-border payments are a nightmare for businesses in that region and traditional banks have been failing them for years. The name is a bit on the nose for my taste though, and without knowing exactly what mechanisms they're using to move money or which specific pain points they're solving first, I'm not ready to crown this a winner or write it off. Worth watching if you care about emerging market fintech.
