devenv
Developer experience tool for Nix with a faster architecture via Rust/C FFI backend, incremental evaluation caching, and

Our Take
devenv is trying to fix the Nix experience, which is honestly one of the most notoriously painful workflows in dev tools — powerful but slow and opaque. They've architected it with Rust and incremental caching, which is the obvious move if you want to speed things up, plus they added a terminal UI so you can actually watch your builds progress instead of staring at a frozen terminal wondering if it's working or just hanging. Sounds solid in theory, but I'd need to know how much faster it actually is in practice before calling it the move.
