Our Take
Nayan Surya and Masato Okuwaki looked at the developer tools landscape and noticed something obvious: developers spend half their day in the terminal writing code, then completely abandon that workflow the second they need to make slides. They'd fire up PowerPoint, context switch out of their flow, and pretend that clicking around a GUI was productive. So they built DexCode—the first slide authoring tool that keeps you exactly where you belong.
Here's how it works: you already use Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, or Cursor for coding. Now you just ask that same agent to build your slide deck. "Create 5 slides for tomorrow's sprint review." Point it at your project path and it reads the context automatically. It generates MDX files, hot reloads the preview instantly, and you revise the same way you'd revise code—"Add an architecture diagram to slide 3." Done. Per-slide parallel editing means you can run one agent per slide and push multiple revisions at once instead of serial rework. No app switching. No PowerPoint. Just flow.
DexCode is free and open source under MIT License—that's rare for a devtool with this much functionality. They've got 100+ built-in slide templates with charts, code blocks, dashboards, layouts—all production-ready. Export to PDF or PPTX, share via Cloudflare Tunnel, jump straight into presenter mode. CORe Inc. is building developer productivity tools focused on AI integration and DexCode is their flagship. If you're a developer who hates breaking your flow for presentations, this is exactly what you've been waiting for.
They're based in the United States and currently building in public. Check the GitHub, contribute, and see what happens when your AI coding agent becomes your slide deck builder too.
