Actionbase Inc. built something financial APIs have needed for years: a free way to pull real-time and historical data from 26 independent sources without paying $50,000 a year to Bloomberg. Their Financial Data API covers 100,000+ instruments across equities, ETFs, options, futures, commodities, rates, FX, and indices—US and international—with 225 API routes. That's more sources than most commercial providers and it's free.

They also run BlueDoor, a data platform serving up job postings, Airbnb listings, contractor licenses, H1B filings, Florida properties, and court records. Basically, if it has an API, they're building it. Based in Seattle at 2019 Boren Ave, they're quietly becoming the infrastructure layer for anyone who needs financial data without the enterprise price tag.
