Our Take
IFTTT MCP is exactly the kind of un-sexy infrastructure move that's going to slip past most people but absolutely slap for the right builders. It's a Model Context Protocol server that lets Claude orchestrate automations across over a thousand apps through IFTTT's existing integrations — meaning your AI assistant can now trigger Hue lights, post to Twitter, add rows to Airtable, or ping your thermostat without you touching a single trigger. Is IFTTT itself glamorous? Absolutely not. But it has the deepest random app ecosystem in the game, and giving Claude control over all of it is actually a pretty serious power move for anyone building autonomous agents.
