The app store for AI tools. Find, trust, and install

MCP Marketplace

Our Take

Grant and Paul Palmieri looked at the AI landscape and saw a problem: everyone was building incredible AI tools, but there was no way to discover them, trust them, or easily install them. So they built MCP Marketplace—the app store for AI tools. Think of it as the App Store meets GitHub, but for the Model Context Protocol that's quietly becoming the nervous system of AI.

Here's the deal. MCP is the protocol that lets AI actually do things—not just chat, but take actions, connect to services, and use tools. It's backed by Anthropic and being adopted everywhere. But until now, finding and installing MCP tools was a mess of GitHub repos and manual configuration. MCP Marketplace fixes that. They've got 2,900+ tools listed, every single one security-scanned, and you can install any of them with one click. No coding required. The most popular tools already have tens of thousands of users—SQLite has 80k, Google's GenAI Toolbox has 13k, Chrome MCP has 10k. That's not a catalog, that's momentum.

What are people building with these tools? Everything. Legal document search, image generation, database queries, spreadsheet analysis, calendar management, server monitoring, email drafting, smart device control, payment processing, translation, workflow automation, reporting. If there's a task, someone's building an MCP tool for it. The ecosystem is exploding and MCP Marketplace is where it's all coming together.

The boring part is the vision: they want to be the definitive marketplace for every AI tool ever built. The exciting part is they're actually getting there—2,900 tools, security-scanned, one-click install, and growing every day. If you're building MCP tools, this is where you get discovered. If you're using AI, this is where your assistant learns how to actually do things.
