Nibbo

Nibbo is basically a family calendar that dressed itself up in a 3D pet — the pet grows as your family checks things off the todo list, which is either genius or slightly manipulative depending on how you feel about being emotionally manipulated into doing chores. The concept isn't new (every family app tries some gamification angle), but wrapping it in a creature that literally levels up with you is a smart move — kids care about their digital avatar more than a shared to-do list, and that's kind of the whole point. I couldn't find much traction info on this one so I won't pretend I know if it's working, but the angle is interesting enough to keep an eye on.
