Our Take

The sleep supplement industry is a $78 billion mess of influencers telling you magnesium is magic and biohackers insisting cold showers will change your life—and here's the thing, nobody actually knows if any of it works for them specifically. You try magnesium for two weeks, sleep great a few nights, and then what? Was it the magnesium? The warmer socks? The fact that you happened to go to bed at a reasonable hour for once? Your Oura Ring shows you a beautiful sleep score graph but it can't tell you what moved the needle. That's the gap NightCue is plugging.

NightCue is a private beta iPhone app that turns your sleep experimentation into an actual disciplined process. You pick ONE change to test—a supplement, earlier bedtime, no caffeine after 2pm, whatever. Every morning you do a 60-second check-in about what you actually did the night before. After a couple weeks, it pulls your Oura data and gives you a verdict: keep it, give it more time, or drop it. No medical claims, no AI chat bot pretending to be a sleep coach, no vague wellness vibes. Just your own data, a little statistical rigor, and research-backed recommendations. The app's verdicts are still being calibrated so treat them as directional for now, but if you're an Oura user who's tried every supplement in the vitamin aisle and still have no idea what actually works for your sleep—this is the tool that makes the guesswork obsolete.

Product Analytics Consulting Ltd. is behind NightCue and they're currently looking for iPhone users with Oura Rings to join the waitlist and stress test the system. If you've got a drawer full of half-used supplements and no data to show for it, they're your people.
