Ollama

The easiest way to build with open models

Ollama

Our Take

Ollama is exactly the kind of tool that makes the "run AI locally" thing actually accessible instead of being a Configure Your Own Environment nightmare. You download it, you run one command, and boom - you've got LLMs running on your machine without sending your data to some API somewhere. The trade-off is you're going to need some decent hardware to make it actually useful, and it's clearly built for developers who don't flinch at command-line interfaces, so if that's not you, this probably isn't either. But for the right person, this is a legitimate dark horse in the local AI space.
