Our Take
Changmin Han built ScreenTranslate because typing text into Google Translate is a waste of time. You see something on your screen in a language you don't understand—you want to translate it NOW, not copy-paste-scroll-switch-translate-paste back. So he made it so you just drag over the text and boom—translation. That's it. That's the whole product, and that's exactly why it works.
It works in your browser, it's probably free or freemium, and it solves a problem that everyone who's ever tried to read something in a foreign language has faced. Changmin's on GitHub, which means this is probably an open-source side project or a scrappy solo founder doing the work. No funding, no hype, just a tool that does exactly what it says. Sometimes that's all you need.
