WorkOS is repositioning hard into the AI hype cycle with this one — the pitch now is that it reads your codebase and writes complete authentication directly into it, which sounds like a dream until you're debugging why it auto-generated the wrong scopes for your third-party OAuth flow. Enterprise auth is genuinely tedious to get right (SAML, SCIM, directory sync — the whole exhausting stack), so there's real signal here if the AI actually works reliably, but "reads your code and writes auth" is one of those promises that's elegant on a landing page and terrifying in a production incident. I'll believe it when I see it ship without requiring three manual overrides.
