Yohji Yamamoto
Built a poetic, oversized, predominantly black aesthetic that rejected body-conscious fashion and redefined draping.

Veronica's Take
Yohji Yamamoto is a Japanese fashion designer based in Tokyo and Paris. He is considered a master tailor, alongside those such as Madeleine Vionnet, and is best known for his avant-garde tailoring featuring Japanese design aesthetics.
He made black a whole philosophy and cut clothes that hide the body rather than flaunt it — anti-fashion so rigorous it became its own permanent avant-garde.
