Tim Raue

Tim Raue is a German chef, born 1974 in Berlin-Kreuzberg, whose eponymous two-Michelin-star restaurant is a fixture on The World's 50 Best Restaurants list. After a turbulent youth in Kreuzberg's street-gang scene, he apprenticed in Berlin kitchens, was named Gault-Millau Chef of the Year in 2007, and opened Restaurant Tim Raue in 2010. His signature style fuses Asian flavours — Japanese, Thai and Chinese — with German precision, and he was profiled in Netflix's Chef's Table.
