Claude Code Remote Control
Continue local sessions from any device with Remote Control
Our Take
Claude Code just dropped Remote Control, and it's exactly what developers have been asking for—continue your local AI coding session from literally any device. Whether you're switching from your desktop to your laptop mid-sprint or jumping on a tablet from your couch, your Claude Code session follows you. No context loss, no re-initialization, just seamless continuity.
This is built by some serious engineers at Anthropic. Alistair Smith runs Claude Code and also created Bun—yes, THE Bun that's been shaking up the JavaScript ecosystem. Ciro Spaciari brought the WebSocket and high-performance server expertise, having optimized HTTP/HTTPS for both PyPy and CPython. Alfred Xing, Chloe An, and adam jones round out a team that's been making AI actually play nice with developers. The feature uses WebSockets for real-time sync, which means your session state stays alive across devices with zero friction.
The beauty here is simplicity: you're on your work machine, you need to leave, you open Claude Code on your personal laptop and you're exactly where you left off. Local sessions, any device, full continuity. It's not flashy—it's just genuinely useful. And with Anthropic behind it, you know the infrastructure isn't going to fall over.
