GetMimic

Generate viral social & chat mockups in seconds with AI.

GetMimic

Our Take

Emad Ibrahim and Piroune Balachandran built GetMimic because they saw how tedious it was to create those viral chat screenshots—the ones that get millions of likes on Twitter and Instagram. You know the ones: fake iMessage convos pretending to be celebrity dustups, WhatsApp screenshots of "leaked" features, or those screenshot tweets that brands use to seem relatable. Instead of spending hours in Photoshop, GetMimic uses AI to generate these mockups in seconds. Just type in what you want the conversation to say, pick your platform—WhatsApp, iMessage, Instagram DMs, X, whatever—and boom, you've got a shareable screenshot that looks real enough to fool everyone.

The team behind GetMimic is an interesting mix—Emad and Piroune are joined by Anmol Mishra, Martin Gebara El, Bureau Signal, Jake Friedberg, Simon Kotlerman, and Shoichi Furukawa. That's eight people which is honestly a solid squad for a product that lives in the meme economy. They're building at the intersection of AI tooling and social media culture, and honestly? That's a smart space to be in. Everyone and their mother wants to create viral fake screenshots, and GetMimic just made it frictionless. The barrier to creating content that gets engagement just dropped to zero.
