Lychee
Lyrics in menu bar Discussion | Link

Our Take
Rishabh Gangwar looked at the millions of people blasting music on their Macs every day and thought: why do lyrics live in a tiny window somewhere when your menu bar is right there? So he built Lychee, a free macOS app that puts synchronized lyrics straight into your menu bar—the one place you're already looking every few seconds anyway.
It works with Spotify and Apple Music, caches lyrics locally so you never wait for them to load on repeat plays, and includes a mini player with album art and playback controls when you click. No dock icon cluttering your clean desktop. No login required. Just install and vibe. If lyrics are wrong, you can cycle through alternatives and it'll remember your preference. If nothing shows up, Lychee pulls from LRCLIB's open-source library.
There are thousands of apps fighting for your attention. Lychee quietly sits in your menu bar showing you words. That's it. That's the whole pitch. And sometimes the simplest idea wins because nobody else thought to stick lyrics in the one place you can't avoid.
Located wherever Rishabh Gangwar codes from. Free download for macOS.
