I'm not going to pretend I have deep intel on Manus Desktop yet — their "My Computer" product just dropped and there's not enough publicly available to give you a real read on what it actually automates or how it compares to the wave of AI agents hitting desktop control right now. What I will say: the name is a bold move, basically staking a claim on "your" computer, which is either confident or overreaching depending on how well it actually works. The space is getting crowded fast — Anthropic, Browserbase, and a dozenYC startups are all attacking computer use — so Manus needs to show traction fast or get lost in the noise.
