Our Take
Everyone's building AI to automate workflows and write code. Tellus is doing something different—they're using AI to capture the stories that actually matter: Grandpa's memories, Family legends, the ones that shapes who you are.
Tellus is an AI platform that records, transcribes, and preserves oral histories from older generations so kids and grandkids can keep them forever. Just you and grandpa talking, and Tellus handles the rest—converting rambling conversations into polished, readable stories that can be passed down. It's emotional AI for the stuff that can't be replaced.
The team behind Tellus includes Carmona Serrat, Sviatoslav Dvoretskii, Mawuli Adjei, Nick Zieber, Cynthia Lam, Vamshi Krishna, and Calvin Lim. That's a seven-person crew which is unusual for a Product Hunt launch—most teams are 2-3 people. Either they're all genuinely passionate about this or nobody wanted to miss out on building something this meaningful.
The problem is real: every day, stories die with the people who told them. Grandparents pass, taking decades of memories with them. Tellus isn't trying to be a unicorn—it's trying to be a time machine for the stuff that makes families families. And honestly, that's worth more than any ARR.
