Most vocabulary tools Yank you out of reading to consult a dictionary, then lock you in flashcards later — Vocabi skips that whole rigmarole by letting you translate, save and memorize words right inside Chrome as you read. The extension was built by Myrto Skourletou and Dmitriy Smagin, both with teaching backgrounds, which explains why the flow feels less like a productivity tool and more like how you'd actually pick up a language. It's a small, focused bet — but the integration is the kind of thing that either makes vocabulary building actually stick or gets abandoned in a browser folder, and right now there's not enough signal yet to know which way it's trending.
